Recently in Seattle, a number of our Vancouver friends went down to Gnomedex, a technology conference organized by Chris Pirillo.
One of the speakers at this year's event was Matt Harding, who is one of my personal heroes. He convinced sponsors to fund a worldwide trip where he simply danced awkwardly in front of the camera in various eye-popping locales. Then, he decided that he should have included locals in the videos, and talked them into sending him on yet another globetrot, this time with large groups of uncoordinated dancers. Maybe it's the simplicity of the idea that I love. No choreography required, thank you very much.
Here, Matt talks briefly about his idea, and then subsequently talks the audience into joining him onstage for a small part in what is bound to be a compilation reel of folks feebly two-stepping in all of the cities on his current speaking tour:
