To kick off the New Year, the Techvibes blog posted a story about Digital Media People to watch in 2008.
The list of local tech visionaries includes our CEO, Danny Robinson. The much anticipated launch of Strutta is what earned him a spot on the list, but those of us who know Danny will tell you that he won't stop there. Techvibes also got the scoop on the launch of the new site for Bootup Labs, a project that Danny is teaming up with Boris Mann to create. Once the dust has settled (some) after our launch, Danny and Boris will get started on the project, which you can learn more about at the Bootup Labs Inc blog.
Through our involvement with Launch Party, a recurring event created by Maura Rodgers, our VP of Marketing, the impact of Strutta can already be felt in the local tech community, and we have yet to launch. Danny recently stopped in to talk with Tod Maffin of the CBC to talk about some of the changes happening locally, and in the technology industry as a whole. You can hear audio of Tod's report here.
In other news, our pals over at Raincity Studios noticed a lack of female representation on the Techvibes list, and published their own index of Vancouver Tech Women to Watch in 2008. Many (if not all) of the folks on Techvibes' and Raincity's lists will be attending Launch Party Vancouver 3, so don't miss it!
