Unforgettable Design for "Disgusting" Contest

It is always a highlight to see people using our contest software and applying their own design inspirations using the custom CSS option.

One such contest launched recently, designed by Adam Neilson, North American distributor of the minui Handysitt, the popular Danish-designed folding high chair. Neilson is former web designer and CSS guru, and he proved that with the design he built for his own contest: "The Most Disgusting Thing Your Kid has Done."

Not only was Adam able to completely re-imagine the contest site navigation, but he also added a surprise or two in the design that are sure to be talked about. Very relevent and topical sponsor, too! Check it out for yourself at Disgusting.minuihandysitt.com.

Calling all Development Shops and CSS Designers

Help Wanted by Egan SnowIn December, we launched our Do-It-Yourself online contest platform. Since then, we've been fielding a lot of requests from clients looking for help with designing and customizing contests, or incorporating contests into their existing marketing mix.

We simply can't keep up. Demand is out-pacing what we can deliver on, and the product is already at a state where fulfillment on these requests can come from other sources.

The Strutta platform is multi-faceted. There is the online solution, which itself is quite extinsible and customizable, and then there is the pending API, which will help put the control in the hands of developers to repurpose as they see fit.

While we work with developers to prepare the API, we have demand for CSS designers too. The online DIY contests still need to deft hands of a CSS designer to make them unique for each client, and we've made the process relatively simple. Ask us about how you can use our style kit to build contests that match existing client websites, or create your own original designs.

We're hoping to team up with a number of trusted partners to help us fulfill many of these requests. Put simply, we may have some work for you, so if you're interested or have questions, please get in touch so we can talk specifics by using info[at]strutta.com.

Ross Howard-Jones Joins Strutta Gang

We're happy to announce that Ross Howard-Jones has joined our team at Strutta.

The newest member of our team, Ross comes to Strutta with an already solid base of mad coffee-making barista skills, so he was well liked around here right out of the gate. He's our point man for Strutta's Information Architecture, Usability Study, Prototyping, Drupal Theming, Art Direction and Front End Development.

He has worked in web technologies his whole professional career, and now boasts over a decade of experience; working for music industry clients like MTV, and extensive work in e-learning for the tourism industry. He has even built his own social network "Gimme20," centered around excercize.

Ross has promised to properly introduce himself in a blog post here very soon. Please help us welcome Ross by leaving a comment, and stay tuned for sneek peeks of his eye-popping designs and layouts.

A Sneak Peek at Strutta

Sorry, still no definitive word on just what it is that we're building here at Strutta headquarters, but there are certainly plenty of hints and rumours circulating. If one were so inclined, they could start to put the pieces together. The biggest leak thus far happened just this week on the website for Cake Labs, the guys who are handling the UI and design of the site.
